I was all ready to write about the changes in the crypto market with bitcoin accounting for 40% (down from 70% earlier this year) … but then I was rounding up some articles for the “Etc.” section and there are so many sports highlights recently that I couldn’t help but get a tinge excited for upcoming Olympics; although I am conflicted because it is important to note that there remains strong opposition to going forward with them. It will be interesting to see what happens.
In any case, I think we can still celebrate some pretty great recent athletic feats:
Simone Biles won a record number of 7 US national titles, but also she recently debuted this gravity-defying double pike vault that is insane. I mean, is she an actual superhero who can fly?!
Barbora Krejcikova won BOTH the singles and doubles title at the French Open which is ridiculously hard to do
Nadal vs Djokovic played such a super-epic match (highlights here) that French officials allowed the crowd to stay out past curfew to watch the end
The Euro Cup that was delayed from last year has started
